Susannah trained as an actor 25 years ago at Central School of Speech and drama, little knowing the devised theatre training would lead her to explore much more interesting avenues than the traditional actor route.
For 15 years she has been a Role player and simulated patient for many organisations, including the University of Birmingham, the BBC and The Home office amongst others.
She is loves telling stories, so has written and performed two plays, Chosen and the Disappearance of Elize Grey, which are still available for booking through this site.
She has learnt story telling styles of Godly Play, Out of the Box and Deep Talk, where groups can explore reflective stories with a spiritual heart. She has used these as a volunteer with Birmingham Children’s Hospital
She loves running workshops for various groups of people, as long as they have space to change. She’s been giving space for exploring people’s personal stories, drama and even science (she also has a Biochemistry degree) for over 25 years, including in schools, nursing homes, assitibe living centres.
After spending 3 years on community at Scargill house she also took a Diploma from Cliff College, in Creative Arts, Mission and Ministry, where she was awarded the prize best Academic Achievement for the course.
Most recently she has also worked in community development and supported Dementia Friendly Churches and currently Enabling All, supporting churches and communities to be welcoming to all. All of this has been in the Lichfield Diocese.
