‘Chosen’ is a hour long one woman show, where the Virgin Mary tells it like it is, including the presents, donkeys and wine. She is trying to make sense of it all, as it’s Easter Saturday and she didn’t expect it to end like it has. There is lots of love and laughter, as mourning and motherhood is explored.
Chosen is a flexible piece of theatre that has been performed in many different contexts. It lasts an hour, which can easily break into 2 halves.
Revd. Michele du Saire, Rector to the Benefice Sarratt & Chipperfield wrote after we performed at her village hall at the beginning of advent
‘(Chosen) was simply BRILLIANT. You brought the story to life so beautifully from a perspective rarely explored in detail, giving us much food for thought. Many of my congregation and wider community found it to be challenging (in a good way) and valuable experience. I would definitely recommend it to others.
